The two towers of the castle, called "Baba" (the Old Woman) and "Panna" (the Maiden), dominate the horizon and have inspired countless legends, fairy tales, and paintings.

The castle was founded in the 14th century by Čeněk of Wartenberg.
Built on the remains of an ancient volcano, it became a strategic fortress and later a noble residence before being destroyed during the 15th century.
